Pekiti-Tirsia Kali is a Filipino combat martial art of the ancient indigenous “Katutubo” that has been incorporated with newer fighting methods devised in the Philippines. Elements from Western and Eastern martial arts are woven into the genesis for this combat skill-based system. Students learn to prioritize, allocate, and use on-hand resources as weapons. All skills transfer from edged weapons to open-hand techniques in combative situations.
Pekiti-Tirsia Kali (PTK) has been called “the martial art of today” because it has only been allowed to be shared outside of the Philippines in about the last 30 years. It has application in true aggressive combat-emergent situations and has a long history of successful use. Special Forces units, law enforcement, and select civilian security train in PTK in order to become skilled in offense, counter-techniques and bringing escalated situations to a quick, complete conclusion.
