TKD
Tae Kwon Do

Taekwondo is one of the most systematic and scientific Korean traditional martial arts; Taekwondo (TKD) is physically dynamic, and includes powerful stances and active movements. Taekwondo (TKD) literally translates into “The art of Hand and Foot” Tae “Kick” + Kwon “Fist” + Do “art or method or way”.  It’s a discipline, showing ways of enhancing the student’s spirit and life through training the mind and body. At Fountain Hills Martial Arts (FHMA),  the students are educated in fighting techniques, street self-defense (including de-escalation of confrontations), poomse (“forms”), and taught by a highly-educated, award-winning, Hall-of-Fame Master.  At FHMA, the curriculum is designed to physically and mentally challenge each student during every class. Our curriculum is designed to impart skills that build a sense of confidence in the student and serve to foster a peaceful state of harmony in our community and beyond.
